Salsa Society's Dance School - Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in classes, workshops, and packages offered by Salsa Society's Dance School ("the School"). By booking and purchasing classes or packages, you agree to abide by these Terms.
Registration and Payment
1.1. You must register and pay for classes or packages to secure your spot. Registration and payment can be done online through our website or in-person at our physical location.
1.2. All packages purchased are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
1.3. Payment for classes or packages are non-refundable. Unless unexpected or exceptional circumstances apply. Please speak to your instructor.
Refund Policy
2.1. All ticket sales, course bookings and event bookings are final.
Refunds will not be provided for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, personal circumstances, or an attendee's inability to attend the classes/event after purchase.
By purchasing a ticket, attendees acknowledge that they have reviewed the course/class/event details, date, time, and location prior to completing their booking.
In the event that Salsa Society cancels the event, attendees will be offered either a full refund.
2.2. Refunds will only be issued in unexpected or exceptional circumstances that prevent you from attending class such as a serious medical condition or a family emergency. Documentation may be required to support your refund request.
2.3. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the School's management at least 48 hours prior to class or a package date.
2.4. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval and will be subject to a processing fee.
Class Attendance and Behaviour
3.1. Age requirement to attend classes are 18+, students will need to display ID if asked by staff at the check in.
3.2. Students are expected to arrive on time for classes. Latecomers may not be allowed to join the class to minimise disruptions.
3.3. Salsa Society is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, guests, instructors, performers, staff, and volunteers.
3.4. All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times whilst attending classes, workshops, socials, events, or engaging with Salsa Society representatives.
3.5. Salsa Society reserves the right to refuse entry, refuse service, suspend participation, or require any individual to leave a class, social, event, or venue at any time where their behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, disrespectful, intimidating, unsafe, or contrary to the values and community standards of Salsa Society.
3.6. Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from the premises without refund where necessary to protect the safety, wellbeing, comfort, reputation, or enjoyment of students, guests, staff, instructors, performers, and the wider community.
Any decision made by Salsa Society management regarding attendance, participation, or removal from an event shall be final.
3.7. Students are required to attend a minimum of 6 weeks in the Fundamentals program in order to be eligible for grading into Level 1 Salsa. If you are not in attendance for more than 2 weeks, you will be ineligible for level one grading.
Class Schedule and Changes
4.1. Salsa Society reserves the right to amend class schedules, course structures, instructors, venues, event formats, and pricing where reasonably necessary.
4.2. From time to time, class fees, course prices, memberships, and event ticket prices may be adjusted to reflect increases in operating costs, including inflation, venue hire, insurance, entertainment, supplier expenses, staffing costs, and other business-related expenses associated with delivering high-quality classes and events.
4.3. We are committed to keeping our services affordable while continuing to provide a professional, enjoyable, and high-quality experience for our students and guests.
Where practical, Salsa Society will make reasonable efforts to notify students in advance of any changes to schedules, instructors, locations, or pricing.
Liability and Waiver
5.1. Participation in dance classes involves physical activity and inherent risks. By attending classes, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
5.2. You agree that the School, its instructors, and staff shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during classes or while on the premises.
Personal Belongings
6.1. The School is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings on its premises. Please keep your valuables secure.
Photography and Videography
7.1. Photography and videography may be conducted during classes or events for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your likeness in such materials.
Privacy Policy
8.1. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website.
Changes to Terms
9.1. The School reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically. By booking and purchasing classes or packages from Salsa Society's Dance School, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with these Terms may result in your removal from classes or events without a refund.
